Cushion covers embroidered by the Mapula Project. This is a project started to regenerate the area (North West of Pretoria). Amongst the items produced by the women of the Mapula project are cushion covers, shirts and cloths (see below). The cloths have become collectors items seldom seen outside South Africa and have been presented to visiting dignitaries including the Queen.
